Camisole • Petticoat • Drawers
Lovely Edwardian layers for under or over
Inspired by the delicate “unmentionables” in a traditional trousseau, this pattern includes three garments that are equally charming as historical underpinnings or as romantic warm-weather wear.
The Camisole features clusters of fine tucks and optional lace insertions. Softly gathered in front with a drawstring neckline and waist, it offers a relaxed fit and buttoned front closure—perfect for layering or standalone styling.
The Petticoat is gored for elegant drape and finished with a wide flounce and dust ruffle at the hem. A back placket with drawstring waist ensures easy adjustment and period-authentic detail.
The Drawers (or "knickers") are knee-length and delightfully ruffled, gathered into a curved waistband with side plackets and front gusset for comfort and movement.
Each piece can be personalized with heirloom techniques like lace insertion, tucks, embroidery, or crocheted edging—all included in the instructions.
Suggested Fabrics:
Fine cottons like lawn, batiste, muslin, or broadcloth; silk for a luxe finish. Petticoat can also be made from taffeta.
Era: Edwardian, Late 1800s–Early 1900s
