Open Studio Sewing Day (Pay what you want!) - December 12 (10am -5pm)

Bring your sewing project (and/or handmade holiday gifts!) and spend the day working in a supportive, creative environment alongside other sewists. Our Open Studio Day gives you access to the Sugarcane Studios workroom, which is upstairs from Sewing Studio Fabrics, so you can spread out, focus on your project, and enjoy the energy of sewing in community.

You’ll have access to our large cutting table, pressing stations, fitting room, sergers, and mannequins while you work. This is NOT a class and will not include instruction or lessons.  That said, a staff member will be on-hand throughout the day to answer questions, help troubleshoot issues, do brief fittings, and offer guidance when needed.

Come for the entire day or drop in and out as your schedule allows. It’s a relaxed space with good vibes, good company, and plenty of room to make progress on your sewing projects.

We ask that, if you feel inclined, to bring a cash donation as a thank-you for providing the space and help.

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Single session | 7 hours

This open studio day is ideal for sewists who:

• Know how to operate their sewing machine independently
• Have a project they want focused time to work on
• Enjoy sewing in a creative, collaborative environment

What to Bring

• Your sewing machine (in good working order) with cord, foot pedal, and accessories
• Your sewing project and materials
• Basic sewing tools (scissors, pins, seam ripper, thread, etc.)

Policies:

Ages 16+ unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made by email. No refunds within 7 days of the first class. Instead, we may give you credit to use for future classes. Once the class has started, missed classes cannot be rescheduled or refunded, but we’ll do our best to help you catch up if possible.

Each class has limited space, so please register early to reserve your spot.
