Historic folk shirt from the Pannonian Basin
This timeless tucked shirt was traditionally worn by farmers, shepherds, and rural folk in the northern regions of the former Yugoslavia. Originally sewn from homespun linen, it remains just as striking today in crisp cotton, soft chambray, or even fine silk.
The pattern features a simple but refined silhouette, made from straight fabric panels with front tucks and soft pleats that shape into a shoulder yoke at front and back. Full sleeves are gathered into cuffs with gussets under the arms for ease of movement. A notched collar and front button placket reflect the influence of early 20th-century tailoring, blending rural and urban style.
Includes two lengths: the original thigh-length version and a dress-length variation for added versatility.
