Content: 100% Lyocell Twill
Width: 58 inches
Weight: 5.9 oz
Lyocell in a twill weave creates a strong, silky fabric with endless options. With a 5.9 oz weight, you can make a Jalie robe to go from brunch to cocktails, a shirt dress like a the Megan Nielsen Darling Ranges where the fabric will catch the waves of the skirt as you swish about, or some Helen's Closet Winslow culottes that let the fabric drape and swirl as you walk. We've used this twill to make Sew House 7 Free Range Slacks and Sew Liberated Arenite Pants. The weight is perfect for elastic and buttons, but avoid heavy metal buttons or metal zippers. Get them all: Denim blue is a lovely slate Potomac blue, Forest is a deep green, Henna is a deep rusty red clay (shown draped with olive vintage chrysanthemum viscose challis), and Mushroom is a medium-to-dark taupe (shown draped with rust red vintage chrysanthemum viscose challis.)
Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "deadstock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a deadstock fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers. Due to setting fluctuations on monitors, photo color accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
