Content: Silk & Cotton Blend
Width: 51 inches
This is the kind of gem we hope for as we quite literally dig and climb through precariously packed deadstock warehouses. Cotton and silk blends are hard to find, let alone a printed cotton and silk blend. The lightweight fabric has the matte of cotton with the soft, buttery feel of silk. It is breathable, the weight and structure between a batiste and a lawn, and can be washed on the delicate, cold water setting, but air drying is recommended. The stripe in the print repeats at approx. every 31 inches. We've linked some favorite pattern suggestions below, but just about anything you'd sew with a batiste, voile, or challis will work.
NOTE: This deadstock fabric has damage from the roller at the selvedge - see the last photo.
Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "dead stock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a dead stock fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers.
