Content: Silk & Cotton Blend
Width: 54 inches

This is the kind of gem we hope for as we quite literally dig and climb through precariously packed deadstock warehouses. Cotton and silk blends are hard to find, let alone a printed cotton and silk blend. The lightweight fabric has the matte of cotton with the soft, buttery feel of silk. It is breathable, the weight and structure between a batiste and a lawn, and can be washed on the delicate, cold water setting, but air drying is recommended. We've linked some favorite pattern suggestions below, but just about anything you'd sew with a batiste, voile, or challis will work. A bonus we'd like to point out is this deadstock is 54 inches wide. Most cotton-silk blends top out at around 40-45 inches wide, so this is a particularly unique find! That's over 10 inches wider than you're likely to find anywhere else.

Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "dead stock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a dead stock fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers.
