Content: Bemberg Rayon
Width: 57 inches
Somewhere between light and mid-weight, this rayon's pattern is made by raise, wrapped threads in the weave creating a stripe texture. In a true sage green that looks more gray indoors or in the shade, but then the green comes out in sunlight or here with bright photography lights, we think you'll find this fabric will be a good neutral in any wardrobe not to mention the tactile and visual interest keep it from being boring. We'd used this weight of fabric to make loose, elastic waist pants, long flowing skirts, a fun woven t-shirt or t-shirt dress, or a classic summer shacket. We've actually used a previous listing of a close relative of this fabric to make the Sew House 7 Free Range Slacks (in photos), but like that rayon this is also a deadstock so supplies are limited! A few pattern suggestions are linked below.
Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "dead stock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a dead stock fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers.
