This deadstock from Italy is SO good, it is difficult to capture on-line! Gray squares form lengthwise stripes on a beautiful black Italian stretch woven from LA designer Jane Mohr for her Euro style clothing line Dress To Kill. Alternating squares have a circle or another square inside. Light/mid shirting weight with a smooth matte hand, lightly crisp drape and lengthwise stretch. Approx.
20% stretch with grain. The subtle stretch helps with ease and comfort and you move about, helps with recovery on stressed elbows, knees and waistbands. Just right for a tunic, button up, pant, light jacket, Jumpsuit, or a lightweight jacket.
Pattern Ideas: Enjoy this one for a simple dress, such as Shift Dress that you can wear with a pair of sandals or your lace up tennies for summer errands, or sew up a Eucalypt that you can toss on over a swimsuit, or when so warm you don’t want much on your skin, a loose pair of Ninni Culottes, an easy make and wear during all seasons, you could also fall for this one in a flowy skirt like the Estuary Skirt, it would also be a wonderful light jacket layer - think the Nenuphar Jacket. These will help get your creative sewing ideas in action.
*Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "dead stock" fabrics from the fashion industry. Their content is not always 100% knowable, and re-stocking is rarely available. While we do our best to ensure fiber content transparency, we cannot guarantee it to be exact. We do source and purchase only what we feel to be of high quality for our customers. As always, please email with any questions or concerns.
