Width: 55 inches
We have this Telio "Morocco Blues" Oeko-Tex Certified floral poplin in both the navy and black colorways. Every time we get a stretch poplin in, I get excited. I spent years scouring Nordstrom, JCrew, Anne Taylor, etc. always trying to find the perfect work shirts that held up all day in meetings, campaign launches, sales kick-offs, and into client drinks or co-worker happy hour. Button-up shirts with quality cotton and just a touch of stretch were always the garments I could count on, time and again. They could go 12 hours without popping a button or looking sloppy. You can wear these fabrics with suit jackets or on "casual Friday" with jeans. If you have one of the fitted, princess seam button-up shirt patterns from "big 4" patterns, like Burda, Vogue, Simplicity, or if you can get a hold of a Butterick B5526, this is the perfect fabric for one of those. They'd also work great for a long wedding and reception day in a shirt dress like the Cashmerette Lenox
or a Closet Core Fiona Sundress
.*The Oeko-Tex certification is an internationally recognized standard that provides companies with a tool to test for harmful substances and verify product safety. Oeko-Tex is maintained by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology with headquarters in Zürich, Switzerland.
Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "deadstock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a deadstock fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers. Due to setting fluctuations on monitors, photo color accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
