Content: 100% Cotton
This is a lighter-weight cotton twill from the Japanese manufacturer Sevenberry. We only have a few yards of this, so act fast. It's not always easy to find Sevenberry twill, and it is truly a treat to sew. If you like garments that are low maintenance but high endurance, you will want this fabric. Some of the more obvious perfect patterns are the many light weight jackets such as the Friday Pattern Company Ilford Jacket
or a straight skirt like the True Bias Salida Skirt
, but we can tell you from experience that this fabric works in an a-line skirt or a fitted 60s-inspired sleeveless mod dress for days on end. Throw on a cardigan or a smart blazer, and you're office-ready. Jump on your Dutch bike and head to the farmer's market? Works there too. This fabric is the last of the stock, so if you love it, grab it!
*Many fabrics in the Sewing Studio are "deadstock" fabrics from the fashion industry, and fiber content is sometimes best educated guess. Sourcing in general is less predictable during COVID-19, and it's very rare to restock a "dead stock" fabric during normal circumstances. We source and purchase only what we feel to be of the highest quality for our customers. Due to setting fluctuations on monitors, photo color accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
